Thoughts anyone?
Ahhh…Brad. Now, I’m not usually that in tune with men’s fashion- I mean, I pay attention to what men wear, and give it a yay or a nay, but Brad Goreski has always been a favorite of mine. You probably know him as Rachel Zoe’s better half and from the Bravo series the Rachel Zoe Project, but he’s got a super fierce style all his own. The first photo below, from Fall 2011 NYFW, is what inspired me to write this post.. I’ve always loved Brad G. and admired his taste (even though it’s not always what I prefer on a guy) but you’ve got to give it to him- the man can dress, and he can pull off a plethora of styles, designers, colors etc., but when it comes to a suit Brad knows how to do it, and well.
Now, don’t get me wrong here, there are plenty of men who are just as dapper as Mr. Goreski, mmhmm…Mr. Scott Disick, the soon-to-be hubby of Kourtney Kardashian.
His super sleek tailoring, always matching his super sleek hair
– he’s always out to make a statement, and even if he is trying hard, he doesn’t always look like he’s trying too hard- it’s just his style, and it works. And guys, please, if you think that wearing a “skinny-legged” pant is too trendy or metro for you, PLEASE think again, because I don’t know a single girl who thinks that dressing like a Calvin Klein or Gucci model is unattractive.
We don’t need you to wear a bow tie and dress model-esque picture perfect every day- in fact we prefer you don’t (it makes us look even better
) we appreciate the ripped jeans, old t-shirts and sneakers , but when the moment presents itself don’t be afraid to take a risk, be adventurous, take a HINT, we like to see you all sexed up every now and then- it reminds us just exactly why we love you so much, and makes us appreciate you even more for trying.
Oh, and if you’re looking for a little more inspiration check out Simon Spurr’s s Fall 2011 Collection.

So, I’ve been in love with this collection since it debuted last fall, and now that it’s closer to spring I am even more excited about it! The collection screams spring, but I love how the dark lips and smokey eyes juxtapose with the bright fabrics, typically a makeup look you might see for a fall collection, but loves it nonetheless. These are just a few of my faves, and some detail shots. Please visit style.com to view the entire collection in all it’s fabulosity, and to see these looks in motion.

The back of this dress is why I love it so much, you can see it in the pic below.

So, some of you have been asking where I’ve been, what I’ve been up to and, what happened to my blog. Well, to be completely honest I just sort of fell of the map after the 2010 holiday season- we all need a little rest now and then. I did not however, fall off of the shopping map
that has remained a part of my so called “down-time” I must also admit that January and February are two of my least favorite months of the year, mostly because of this freezing cold climate in which I reside. My shoes are constantly getting mucked up from the slush I have to treck in to get to work, I have to constantly remind myself not to brush up against my muddy car, and on top of dealing with messy outfits due to the elements, this weather is just not kind to my skin! Don’t get me wrong, I’m totally and East Coast girl, but it’s the first few months of every year that have me wishing I lived in L.A.
Hopefully the last few months of 2010 treated you all kindly, and your holiday’s were everything you hoped they’d be and more. I know that I got some fab new pieces to help me through the end of the year and into January. I would say that up until about two weeks ago my pre-2011 wardrobe was still suitable for my needs, but any good fashion junkie knows that the allure of holiday gifts wears off quickly, and the temptation of a new wardrobe that surrounds us in spring ad campaigns is nearly irresistible. So, without further adieu I give you my guide to your pre-spring 2011 transition wardrobe shopping guide.

Colorful Denim- Spice up your bottoms! Go for a bright color to help transition into spring AND help spice up your winter wardrobe in this dreary weather. Try a cropped pair, like these $59.50 from GAP which will stay out of the slush in this weather, and show off those awesome new sandals come springtime!
J.Crew has several standout pieces every season, and this is one of my faves! The Sailor Sweater is a silk and linen blend that is prefect for layering under a cozy sweater and can take you right into the warmer months of spring. $88.00 j.crew.com
I know some of you may be so over boot shopping, but don’t give up if you haven’t found the perfect pair just yet. I have been tirelessly searching ALL season for not only something that’s actually in stock in my size, but something that suits my style perfectly. After countless trips to the mall and scouring online stores, none other than Steve Madden finally had what I had been looking for. So don’t give up, especially if you’re a size 7
that seemed to be all that was in stock when I was shopping around.
I just bought the Lindley boot in grey (which is actually more of a distressed black) and let me tell you, it is worth every $249.95! The leather is incredibly soft and the boot itself is constructed really well. I know it is going to last me through many a boot seasons! Available online at stevemadden.com
Chambray came creeping back onto the scene last season, and this season Madewell brings it back with their version of the “perfect chambray shirt” And perfect it is- it’s long enough to wear alone with your skinnies, and hits perfectlty when worn cardigan style over a dress or skirt. Get yours now at madewell.com $68.00
Another fave of mine from Madewell are these lovely leather oxford style wedges (below). $215 also at madewell.com
Sidenote: Check out Madewell’s “Looks We Love” spread, a look-book of sorts with all their fave new pieces modeled by the lovely Dree Hemingway.
Sure, it’s still cold outside, but who says we can’t wear mini skirts?? I had a difficult time narrowing down my faves so check out shopbop.com for a wide variety of styles, I’m sure you’ll find something
Hats and gloves and scarves oh my! Just because the stores are stocked with warm weather merchandise, don’t be fooled, there’s still plenty of cold left, so bundle up! Here are my picks to finish out the season in style. The first 3 scarves are all by Society for Scarves available at moxsie.com $48 each. The turban style headwarmer, wide-brimmed hat, and feather print scarf can all be found at urbanoutfitters.com
I think that should be enough to keep you occupied for now, check back soon for more updates! xoxo

Hey, what’s wrong with letting someone else do all the hard work for you? Nothing at all. I get tons of email updates on a daily basis keeping me up to date with the latest and greatest finds, and I thought it would be nice to share them. I’ve also added a few things I’ve found on my own that make great gifts, and may or may not be on my Wish List as well
Happy Shopping!
From one of my favorite blogs to read, Refinery29′s “Wrap Stars- Our guide to holiday gifts under $100″ You’ll find art, fashion, accessories, homeware, books and more- a great go to guide in a pinch!
For the super awesome fashionista on your list you’ve got to check out Shopbop’s Holiday Gift Guide. They even break it down into fun categories like Ski Getaway, Travel Companions, and Behind Closed Doors to make your shopping experience that much easier.
And then comes J.Crew!!! As a former employee, and all-around J.Crew junkie, their look-books just keep getting better. Although they have their own Very Merry Gift Guide These are a few things that made my top-ten J.Crew wish list…and it was sooo hard to choose!
And last, but not least, the most wanted accessory every girl should have, which speaks for itself. A classic black leather Louboutin. Bianca 140 KID Black Leather Christian Louboutin pumps. They will go with everything!! $775 available at Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus.
Stay tuned for more great gift ideas and things to add to your wish list!

Body-con, yay or nay? Yay! Body-con doesn’t always mean that the garment shows every little curve of your bod because it is so fitted, in fact most body-con dresses, especially ones like this, help to hide certain flaws you might not wish to flaunt. So, don’t be afraid to step up your sex appeal for the holiday party season and try a body-con dress.
Camel coats have been all the rage this fall, and after learning about an unbelievably good deal at the Gap last week I couldn’t resist to buy this. It’s lightweight wool, but of so warm and cozy, looks great with almost anything, and is sure to be a staple in your closet for years to come.
I’ve been searching tirelessly for the perfect pair of over the knee boots, and I’ve finally found them. Black, genuine suede over the knee boots with buckle detail and a sexy platform heel from N.Y.L.A.- exactly what my fall wardrobe has been yearning for. They go from day to night effortlessly, are a total steal at only $95, and come in grey suede as well.
So, I’m definitely on a suede shoe kick, and these grey booties were just irresistible! They can be paired with mini skirts and dresses for a cute and girly get-up but also look amazing with black tights and a boyfriend shirt, and at just $25 from Forever21 a total steal. Did I mention they are also genuine suede- none of that suede-ette business!
